Fifty Shades of Grey by by E.L. James

Shades

Normally this is not a book I’d be drawn to reading, but after all the hype and multiple friend recommendations I figured I’d give it a shot. And wow… I was pleasantly surprised how engaging and, to quote Anastasia, “like a moth to a flame” I became with this story. I could not put this book down. The relationship between Christian and Ana is so wrong, yet so right and all along I was hoping it would work out in favor of everyone’s happiness. What truly shocked me was how I found myself giggling at times during their email conversations — which I thought was a creative way to show their flirting through wit and sarcasm. Although the sex scenes were steamy, I found myself looking forward to the next exchange of wise cracks between the two. My heart broke right along with Ana’s at the end and now I look forward to see how Fifty Shades can even get a little “darker”.

A BIG thank you to Amy for providing this post. 🙂
