Goliath (Leviathan #3) by Scott Westerfeld

Goliath“But that was what kept the world interesting, Deryn reckon, reality had no gears, and you never knew what surprises would come spinning out of its chaos.” Oh boy! The surprises that came spinning out of Goliath, the last book in the Leviathan series, by Scott Westerfeld were plenty.

While on their top-secret mission, Alek and Deryn uncover some secrets that result in some major consequences. I love how Deryn has ‘grown’ as a character throughout the series. I love her spunk and girls can do anything attitude, even when in dire circumstances.

The final book in the series did not disappoint. The story is captivating, with some pretty intense moments that results in great on the edge of your seat reading. Goliath does a great job bringing the trilogy to an end. I can only ‘hope’ that in this alternative universe World War II happens and Deryn and Alek will re-appear in a new series.

Once again the art created for this book by Keith Thompson is breathtaking. I loved the art so much in this series, that I had purchased some of it.
