Annie Nobody thought she was, well, nobody, living in a nowhere town where nothing goes her way. She has been shuffled around from one foster home to the next. Day 1 at her newest foster home and it’s so bad she is forced to run away. Of course, this is when she finds out just how special she is.
Each chapter switches from telling the story from Annie’s perspective and her new best friend Jamie Hephastion Alexander’s, who just might be a troll. There is a slew of supporting characters that, well, to be blunt fall flat. Eva, the dwarf, is just plain annoying. I had no expectations for this book as the Advance Reader Copy magically appeared at my door. No complaints here. However, since the title is Time Stoppers I sorta assumed that oh I dunno there would be more time stops in the story. The book never grabbed me. Well over 300 pages, there is a lot of words for so little action. It felt that everything was drawn out. Super easy read but not very entertaining.
Time Stoppers by Carrie Jones comes out tomorrow, May 3.
