Not sure why I didn’t create a favorite list of 2015, probably because I am lazy.
Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo. Oh so good!
The City of Mirrors by Justin Cronin. Such a wonderful and beautifully complex ending to the series.
The Wild Robot by Peter Brown. While a children’s book, defiantly worth a read.
The Lie Tree by Frances Hardinge. A deliciously dark novel.
Every Heart A Doorway by Seanan McGuire. I can’t stop talking about this to anyone who will listen.
Fuzzy by Tom Angleberger and Paul Dellinger. The only middle school book on the list but its worthy to be read by any age.
Conspiracy of Ravens by Lila Bowen. 1) I lack the words to do this book justice and 2) I don’t want to inadvertently spoil the magic. But for the love of chocolate, go forth and read this book. Also, pretty sure the wait for book 3 will kill me.
Scythe by Neal Schusterman. Neal Schusterman, need I say more?
While this was published in 2014, it definitely deserves an honorable mention: The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet by Becky Chambers. Set against a backdrop of curious cultures and distant worlds, this episodic tale weaves together the adventures of nine eclectic characters, each on a journey of their own.
